Terms of service
Version 1 · effective on publication
1. Who we are
The UserAgent Parser service at useragentparser.xyz ("the service") is operated by Lukas Behounek, Masarykova 772, 25263 Roztoky, company ID 04563867, CZ688591096 ("we"). Contact: lukas@behounek.it.
2. The service
The service parses user-agent strings you send to it and returns structured information as JSON. Results are produced automatically by a parsing library; a user-agent string can be incomplete or deliberately misleading, so results are best-effort and not guaranteed to be correct or complete.
3. Account and API key
- You need an account to use the API. You are responsible for keeping your API key secret; all requests made with your key consume your credits.
- You may generate a new key at any time; the previous key stops working within about a minute.
- Each person or organisation may claim the free trial credits once.
4. Credits, prices and payment
- One credit pays for one parsed user-agent string. Prices are listed on the website, in euros, excluding VAT. VAT is added where applicable.
- Credits are prepaid through Stripe. There is no subscription and no automatic recharge.
- Each purchase is valid for 24 months from the purchase date. Expired credits cannot be used or refunded. Requests use the credits that expire soonest first.
- Under heavy parallel load the service may serve a small number of requests beyond your balance; these are free of charge and never billed afterwards.
5. Refunds and withdrawal
- Within 14 days of a purchase you may ask for a refund of that purchase's unused credits, at the price you paid per credit, by writing to lukas@behounek.it. Credits already used are not refundable.
- If a payment is refunded or disputed, the unused credits of that purchase are removed from your account.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use the service to break the law, to attack or overload it, or to resell raw API access as a competing parsing service. We may suspend keys involved in abuse; we will tell you why where we lawfully can.
7. Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance is kept short. Requests that fail with a server error (5xx) are not charged.
8. Ending the service
You may stop using the service at any time; unused credits simply expire. If we discontinue the service, we will announce it by email at least 60 days in advance and refund unused, unexpired purchased credits at the price paid per credit.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
10. Changes and law
We may update these terms; material changes are announced by email at least 30 days in advance and never reduce the validity of credits you already bought. These terms are governed by the law of the Czech Republic, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection in your country of residence.
